We grew tired of mediocre coffee.

That's why we created Samurai Shoelace: a coffee capsule brand that we would happily drink every morning ourselves. For over 11 years, we've been learning, tasting, and developing – and now we're showing you what happens when all of that comes together in a single cheerful capsule.

Will it really be delicious?

Coffee! The entire production is in our hands, so we can confidently say that our capsules contain only coffee! What's more, we use the most outstanding, specialty-grade 100% Arabica coffee from selected farms. We buy the green coffee, we roast it, and we encapsulate it in our own factory in Újpest. We don't add any flavourings or other additives to the capsules; the coffee itself creates every flavour in your cup. And of course, the coffee is also free from everything, no sugar, no gluten...but we've already mentioned that above.

If you are specifically looking for a softer flavor and a creamier effect in your cup, then yes, Bean Candy is for you! If you are a fan of a more classic flavor, we recommend another capsule for you, try our Liquid Wisdom or Dark Harmony coffee.

People often say about our Bean Candy coffee, "it's so delicious, you don't even need sugar in it!". It's worth trying it without sweetener, or with a little less sweetener than you're used to. If you still want a sweeter coffee after all this, feel free to add your usual dose of sweetener, who are we to tell you that? :) It works great with milk and with free options too!

The footprint of paper-based capsules advertised as compostable is the same as that of the aluminum capsules we use. However, you won't be able to compost biodegradable capsules at home, and what's more, since they don't seal perfectly airtight (only aluminum can do this), the coffee inside them continuously loses its flavor.

Our capsules are made from tightly sealed, 80% already recycled food-grade aluminum, making them 100% recyclable. We also provide a solution for this, as among our products you can find the Reciclo device, with which you can easily recycle the capsules at home. After this, it's up to you; if you do this every time and then throw the aluminum into the selective metal collection, you can be sure that another batch of aluminum will be made from it.

Yes, our capsules are compatible with Nespresso* Original machines, and only with them. So unfortunately you won't be able to put them in your Vertuo or any other capsule machine. (It's important to note that we are an independent Hungarian manufacturer, we have nothing to do with Nespresso*!)
